VISITING WITH YOUR SCHOOL

We have welcomed thousands of students to SandWorld from age 4-18, from all over the UK and Europe as well as students from specialist schools and have received some amazing feedback from both students and their teachers. SUPERVISED WORKSHOP

This can be bespoke to your needs and as this activity is safe, educational and interactive, it offers the perfect platform for learning, using key skills such as teamwork, enthusiasm and problem solving. This is a such a great moment to watch groups of students making and creating with such freedom.

INFORMATIVE TOUR

If you’re visiting Sandworld with your school we’ll be able to arrange a tour with one of our experienced team. The children will learn about what it takes to build our sculptures, some amazing facts about Weymouth Sand, and the time it takes to create a 15 foot Marvel's The Avengers sand sculpture!

INTERACTIVE QUIZ

Any tour of Sandworld wouldn't be complete without our interactive quiz, designed specifically for school groups. They'll have to have their whits about them, their eyes open and listen carefully to complete our interactive quiz!

VISITING TIMES

The recommended time for school visits including tour and workshop is 11/2 to 2 hours. We have created special packages for ease of booking - please take a look below for further information on these.

15 - 20 min tour with Q&A and Quiz

Fill your own SandWorld souvenir 'Sand Art' bottle with different coloured sand

One of the VERY best value things to do in Weymouth, the staff were kind, caring and very helpful. Our children (4,11 and 16) ALL loved this, as did we all. The exhibition of sand sculptures are amazing, the cafe is informal and the activities are really good fun. Giving our children the chance to actually try sand sculpture for themselves (with help) was great, they enjoyed this immensely and got lots from our trip to this inexpensive and truly gratifying attraction; If you do nothing else in Weymouth, try this, you'll love it and if you have children (of ANY age), they'll love it too.

This is very artistic and must take hours to achieve. We looked in oar at the wonderful scenes and sights carved out of sand. The detail is absolutely amazing and certainly worth a look.

The Sand Sculptures are a must to see as are so cleverly done,for Young and old to enjoy.The entrance fee is a good price too and being as its on the Sea Front you have many things to do around the area.

Visited Sept 2016, £6.25 entrance fee and worth every penny. Not a huge place but wonderful sand sculptures, all under cover. Small cafe and gift shop, but more impressive were the hands-on activities...whether you're a toddler or an OAP and everyone in between! Got to have a go at our own sand sculptures, with instructions and tips from a wonderful lady called Jo, who took time to show us the ropes and explain how the sculptures are formed. Fascinating! Would highly recommend a visit to both young and old!!
